Description

Giuseppe Pelà is - though he is widely unknown - one of the greatest Italian frame builders of the second half of the 20th century.
He built bikes for Champions like Anquetil, Van Looy, Merckx, Moser and many others. He was also responsible for some of the finest bikes from Gios, Masi, Picchio and many more brands. Irio Tommasini learned building superb racing bikes from him. In 1970 he famously equipped the whole Faema Faemino Team whith frames, he also made several frames for Faema in the years before.
What we present to you here is a nice marriage of two legendary aspects of classic cycling: A legendary frame builder and a legendary team.
This Pelà frame from about 1969 has been refurbished recently in Faema team colours. In this process the unusual Pelà signature on the top tube was added.
The frame is completely equipped with a Campagnolo Nuovo Record groupset from 1969.
An iconic bike for racing bicycle history afficionados. You will definitely turn some heads at every cycling event on this piece.
