Description
The family Fanini from Lucca has been a sponsor and promoter of regional cycling sport for generations.
Their most famous protégé arguably being Mario Cipollini.
When Lorenzo Fanini was active in the bicycle business they did not only sell bikes of other brands, they also built their own ones.
Our Fanini Super from the 1980s shows their typical love for extravagance.
Fanini bikes usually were a little different and had that special extra effort put into them that turns a simple bike into a little cycling marvel.
Our frame shows a deep red orovelato paintjob. This basically means that the bike does not only have a wonderful translucent paint but that this paint has been brought onto a gold plated surface!
On the technical side the bike is equipped with a rather unusual Gipiemme Sprint groupset, including a pair of everybody's favourite retro-friction shifting levers.
A bike like luxuriously wrapped sugar plum!
