Description
Classic Fiorelli bikes have many friends in the collectors scene.
Founded in 1932 by three brothers. The company sponsored several teams and riders and was very succsessful. Many famous champions rode Fiorelli bikes. Among them Schotte, Kubler, Koblet, Gaul, Motta and Ole Ritter who broke the world hour record on a Fiorelli frame in 1968.
In the late 1950s, Fausto Coppi wanted to begin producing his own classic Italian racing bicycles. He made a deal with Fiorelli in Novi Ligure for the manufacture of bicycles. These vintage bicycles were very similar to Fiorelli's own designs, apart from the finish and branding. When Fausto Coppi died of malaria in 1960 this contract was still valid and the production of Fausto Coppi branded bicycles continued.
This specific Fiorelli is a wonderful piece from the 1970s. A very classy and classic built, simple and elegant. It is equipped with the legendary Campagnolo Nuvo-Record groupset which suits this bike very well. A rare 1970s racer from an excellent frame builder. Certainly a wonderful ride for any vintage cycling event!
