Description

Fritz Fleck was a self-tought frame Builder from Mannheim, Germany. He went into business in 1953 by starting his Brand Flema (FLEck MAnnheim).
In his best years, he made up to 100 Frames, often for others Brands like the German wholesale giant Stier.
Though he became famous for experimenting with titanium, which eventually earned one of his bikes a golden medal at the Olympic games of 1972, steel bikes remained the backbone of his production.

Here we are offering a classic fast touring bike, a randonneur
The frame is a typical relaxed design with slightly slacker angles than anormal road bike, longer wheelbase and more fork rake. It also provides the necessary eyelets for optional mudguards or racks.
A full chroming provides an as luxurious as useful protection from scratches and rust.

Bicycles like this Flema Special were widely used to cover wide distances in comparably short time, while riding self supported, audax-style.

Our chromed beauty is a rare example of such a bike from a German artisan. Completely equipped with Campagnolo Record parts, it is as useful in everyday riding as it is on the rough roads of L'Eroica. And it is highly decorative on top.
