Sold for under € 1000,00 to Romania on 3/28/20.

Description

This bike is unique in many ways.
First there is the fact that the frame seems to be a Flema track frame made by Fritz Fleck from Mannheim, titanium pioneer and frame builder to Olympic gold medalists.
But it is not.

Hidden under paint and decals is a frameset from the year 1950, in fact a Bauer - another bike brand from Germany and frame builder to champions and world champions. So it could be a 1950 Bauer track bike.
Yet it is not.

Lacking fork and parts and being repainted this frame had a sad life, stored away for many years. Until we decided to change that and bring it back to life as something new.
We were willing to risk a clash of generations between frame and parts and it really paid off!

The frame received an aluminium fork and modern parts, including a removable rear brake.
Now it is an amazing single speed road bike which is not only surprisingly agile but also quite comfortable due to extra wide 32mm tires.
The frame itself is a tad smaller than the 58cm we are stating here, but because of its long top tube and with the actual seatpost, it rides just like 57/58 (c-t).

So what can you call it now?
One of the smoothest, most stylish single-speed bikes in Berlin?
- Oooh yeah, you bet it is!
