Description
If you walk into a bike shop and ask if the people there have ever heard of a man called Andrea Pesenti, you would find out that almost nobody has a clue. If, however, you would ask if they have heard of a bike called Cinelli Laser, you will almost certainly look into sparkling eyes full of admiration.
This is no surprise because in the 1980s, just before aluminium and carbon fibre had their brake-through as frame building materials, the Laser was one of the most elaborated steel bikes you could find.
Its stiff, aerodynamic design was the masterpiece of a skillful Italian frame builder and helped riders to win a number of championships and Cinelli to design prizes.
The man behind all this, not only the developement of the designs but also the builder of every single frame was - you knew it already - Andrea Pesenti.
This genius was, of course, not only responsible for the icon that is the Laser. He made many small improvements of bikes and also was in charge of some side projects of the Cinelli company. One of these projects was the small sub-brand called Formula Bici. These beautiful lugged frames, too, were the creations of Mr. Pesenti. One of the Formula Bici bikes by Andrea Pesenti is what we present here. The elegant piece is made of Columbus SL tubes and Cinelli lugs with nice subtle details like the signature double hole decoration of Formula Bici bikes.
This great bike is equipped with nothing less than the best - A Campagnolo Super Record groupset.
A bike for connoisseurs and a feat on which you will enjoy every ride.
