Description
Frejus classic pista bicycle from the 1950s. Here we present a stunning and extremely rare Frejus Pista bicycle designed by the Emmo Ghelfi , the founder of the glorious brand from Turin (Italy).
A brand. The history of classic cycling. Many champions as Gino Bartali rode the iconic bicycles of this Italian brand. The frame was of course the core of any Frejus bicycle. As this one.
Essential, elegant and hand-crafted. The main tubes are Columbus while the rear triangle is made of Falck Libellula tubes. And they are obviously lugged into chromed Frejus lugs. Note well the seat lug with a separate collar to secure the seat post, very typical from that era.
The previous owner decided to convert this track bike into a training road cycle and we wanted to keep it as authentic as possible. Indeed a Gnotti free wheel (with a quick release) allows to set manually different gears to tackle various slopes. This "strada" kit includes also the Universal Super 68 brakes
An outstanding bicycle for connoisseurs!
