Description
Frejus is a brand which fully embodies the prestigious Italian cycling heritage. Founded in 1896 by Emmo Ghelfi in Turin, the company was subsequently acquired by Emilio Bozzi - by the time owner of Legnano.
Handmade and equipped just with the best components, Frejus bikes led a young Gino Bartali to his first victories in the 1930d and were the choice of many international champions over several decades.
This vintage Frejus has survived many decades and - despite its roughly 57 years - is in good shape. In order to preserve its authenticity we went for a light refurbishment and kept all the the original components. In this case it means a whole bunch of original Legnano parts and a shifting by Simplex which was made in Italy!
Great bikes in original condition like this one might be appeal to everyone, from avid collectors to people with passion for aesthetic and authenticity.
Very rare. The perfect bicycle to enrich any serious collection. Suitable for Eroica events!
