Description

Having worked as chief engineer and frame builder at the workshop of Sante Pogliaghi, Emiliano Freschi decided to start his own business. He did not manufacture many bicycles, but every single one of them shows unmistakable signs of extraordinary craftsmanship. And we are happy to present one of them.

This Freschi Super Crono from the early 1980s is a very interesting bike:
The frame is made of light and sturdy Columbus SL steel tubes and shows unique details. The most astonishing specialty might be the fact that it is designed for a one-by drivetrain which makes it suitable for either time trials or climbing but not for both.
Together with the spectacular shot-in rear stays, this alone makes for an extravagant frame.
Most suitably, such finesse is accompanied by an elegant and finely satinised chrome-effect paintjob.
The frame has been constructed for fast riding with well balanced angles.

To secure a really top performance, this classy racer is equipped with some of the best components of its time - including a lightweight OMAS headset and OMAS bottom bracket with titanium spindle and Mavic Argent 10 rims which spin around amazing FT Bologna hubs!

Rare and delicate.
