Description
Ganna Ladies Vintage City Bicycle from the 1960s. As fate would have it... A 17 years old Luigi Ganna was used to cycle 100km every day from Induno Olona (Varese, Norther Italy) to Milan, where he worked as construction worker. Soon he became a professional cyclist and in 1909 won Milano-Sanremo & Giro d'Italia". In 1912 he decided to start producing bicycles which - in 1951 - led Fiorenzo Magni to his Giro d'Italia victory. One can definitely say that bicycles were his destiny.
Since 1982 the brand has been owned by Giubilato Cicli which still produces bicycles in Mussolente (Vicenza, Norther Italy).
As many other Italian manufacturers, Ganna also specialised in high-end city bicycles. And here we have a perfectly preserved ladies vintage bicycle from the 1960s. The lugged steel frame is designed to provide the ride comfort a lady needs. A very up-right position and step-through-down-tube will make any ride easier. Fenders, chain-guard & skirt-guard, lights & bell; everything is there. Whether for the daily use or for weekend excursions, this Ganna won't disappoint you!
The bicycle arrived at Steel Vintage Bikes in perfect and original condition. We only swapped the saddle for a Brooks B67S, a good choice both for comfort and style!
Very elegant.
