Gazelle Team KNBS Leen Pfrommer's Personal Bike

Ice skating is one of the most popular sports in Netherlands. It is a part of the culture with deep historic roots. Dutch skaters, one of the best in the world, are celebrated by the public as the national superstars. It is well known, that cycling (particularly road cycling) plays a huge role in off-season preparation. So it happened, that the largest Dutch bicycle manufacturer Gazelle provided the Federation of Dutch ice skating (KNSB) with some personal training bikes.
And here we present you one of those, the Gazelle Team KNSB Road Bike. Upon close inspection of this bike it is clear that it is a high quality frame. Made of legendary Reynolds 531 steel tubes, you will find many refined details like lugged seat stays, many Gazelle logos or the double brake cable bosses on the top tube. As for the equipment, an ultra reliable Shimano 600 "Tricolore" groupset with STI shifting on the bars has been chosen.
But there is one more interesting thing to this red, white and blue painted bike. This very one is the personal bicycle of one of the most famous Dutch ice skating trainers of all time - Leen Pfrommer.
