Description

Giamè Classic Road Bicycle from the late 1970s. Every time we come across a Giamè bicycle, we are really enchanted by the uniqueness of such masterpieces. And it happens rarely, since the two brothers from Turin - Antonio and Agostino - built roughly 20 frames per year beside their main employment at the glorious Gios Torino.

We are talking about bicycles which really belong to the finest and most exclusive Italian manufacturing, two craftsmen to whom Aldo Gios - as he said to us - is still thankful for their innovation skills.

Antonio and Agostino always kept ornament and decorations to a restrain minimum by preferring a classic and clean style, as this model from the late 1970s perfectly shows. Since we wanted to keep this stunning bicycle as original as it was we decided to go for a light refurbishment and only changed brake and shifting cables, chain and saddle - a NOS NOS Selle Italia Prestige Suede. Thus the frameset made of Columbus SL tubes is equipped with a correct period Campagnolo Super Record first generation groupset and pantographed parts, as the stem and the seat post. The upholstered leather bar cover is a clear indicator that this bicycle was meant for serious racing.

A chance to ride a piece of fine craftsmanship. Unique.
