Gianni Motta Personal 2001R Racer When Gianni Motta, the famous cycling champion, ended his successful career, he turned to building top class bicycles that lived up to their name. These bicycles are famous for their elegance, stiffness and efficient power transmission. The top of the line model was called 'Personal'. The bike we present here is one of them - but it even is a more special exemplar!

This stunning bicycle is called Personal 2001R and it represents the best of the 1980s and 1990s in frame building skills

The frame is made of wonderful Oria GM 0.0 steel tubes which have 8 parallel reinforcing ridges. Another finesse of this frame are the distinctive curved seat stays - bent inward at the brake bridge area - and the octogonal Motta fork crown. The original paintjob was executed in the Italian national colors - always an honor for a racing bicycle.

This special bicycle is equipped with a Campagnolo Chorus groupset with Ergo shifters and the sought after Campagnolo Delta brakes. Not only the Campagnolo groupset adds to this marvellous racer - other features are the San Marco Regal leather saddle, Brooks leather handlebar tape and the fantastic Campagnolo Vento wheelset.
