Description
Before Giant developed into the mega-brand it is today, they were mostly known as reliable sub contractors who built bikes for other large companies like Schwinn.
But with having all the know-how of making a bicycle in house, they started to explore into new territories and launched some models under their own name. Soon Giant became one of the leaders of the industry. In the 1990s Giant conquered also offroad field and some of the models became true classics.
One of good examples is Cadex model line which utilized carbon fiber. Our Giant Cadex CFM 2 Mountainbike is constructed with carbon fiber tubes reinforced with kevlar. These tubes are then connected with alloy lugs. As a machine destined for rough and unforgiving environment, the whole frame has been designed accordingly with really beefy parts like the bottom bracket unit or the rear monostay. The front fork is an indestructible monster made of cr-mo steel and with a massive crown.
Our Giant still sports the original two tone paintjob and is equipped with Shimano Deore parts.
