Description

After leaving the Legnano Team, in 1948 Gino Bartali founded his own team: Cicli Bartali. The bicycles for the racing team and for the commercial use were produced until 1955 by the brothers Santamaria in Novi Ligure - good friends of Fausto Coppi - then by Margherita brothers, and starting from 1960 by Galmozzi (San Pellegrino Team).

This Gino Bartali is a true gem of the early 1950s. According to the head badge and the Campagnolo Gran Sport parts, the bicycle was manufactured by the brothers Santamaria in Novi Ligure approximately in the period 1953-1955. The frame has been completely restored and repainted by the previous owner, keeping the original parts of its era. This Gino Bartali is equipped with a Campagnolo Gran Sport group set - in its third version - a Magistroni cranckset, Universal brakes, Ambrosio stem and bars and a Brooks Champion Standard B17 leather saddle.

An authentic rarity, the perfect vintage bicycles to take part in classic cycling events and to make other participants envying! Did you look at the fine aluminium water bottles???
