Description

The Gios name is one of the great pillars in Italian cycling history and culture, and the Gios Torino Super Record is a true monument of its time. Manufactured between 1973 and 1982 in three main different versions, the Gios Torino Super Record is - thanks to great riders like Roger De Vlaeminck - one of the most winning and most admired racing bicycles of all time.

Built with light and sturdy Columbus SL tubes ever since, the first models were built between 1973 and 1977 and ridden by the Brooklyn professional team. The second version was lightly different and the third and final one dates back to 1981-1982, just as the bicycle we are featuring here. The main features are fork crown with typical 'golden' coins – they cover the air-holes used during the welding process – and the brake bridges designed for a recessed bolt.

Our exemplar is furthermore quite rare for its size - the short 51 cm top tube will suite smaller riders.

Regarding the components, this Gios Torino Super Record is equipped with a Campagnolo Super Record groupset, Cinelli stem, bars and even the saddle. To ensure a smooth rolling, a pair of handmade Tufo tyres has been mounted on the Mavic rims.

If you are looking for a classic Italian bicycle with top level components and racing pedigree, this Gios Torino Super Record is definitely the right choice.

The bicycle has been built in our workshop and every single part has been carefully inspected. You can just adjust the tyre pressure, sit on it and off you go.
