Description
Released in 1986, the Compact is one best frames ever produced by Gios.
Besides technical innovations already introduced with the Professional model in the same year (such as the patented and waterproof seals for the internal routed rear brake cable and the one piece BB-shell with integrated bridge), the Compact features an adjustable droupout system, actually its most significant development.
Riding characteristics as well as tire width could be changed by bringing the dropouts further to the front or to the back.
This Gios Compact has an original blue paintjob and is a bit more special since it is a 40th anniversary model. Our frame was produced in 1988 and on some occasion received a nice - now faded - signature of Aldo Gios on the top tube.
But it is not just the frame that is remarkable here - it is also the groupset!
Our Gios Compact is equipped with a Campagnolo C-Record groupset including rare and beautiful Campagnolo Cobalto brakes.
An exclusive all-rounder! the exceptional transition of 40x30 and a clincher wheelset make this racer suitable for climbing as well as for technical Eroica routes.
Whether to take part in classic cycling events or to ride long distances, this Gios Compact won't disappoint any high demanding rider!
