Description
Released in 1986, the Compact is one best frames ever produced by Gios. Beside technical innovations already introduced with the Professional model in the same year (such as the patented and waterproof seals for the internal routed rear brake cable and the one piece BB-shell with integrated bridge), the Compact features an adjustable droupout system, actually its most significant development.
This Gios Compact is quite a rare breed though. It is made by top class Oria KK steel tubes, which have ovalized profiles similar to Columbus Max. It has been professionally refurbished and painted in the iconic Gios blue colour. As a Compact model it features the adjustable rear dropouts, an ingenious solution of Aldo Gios which look so cool but are practical at the same time.
Our Compact KK is a postmodern build and is equipped with just brand new or NOS parts. Mounted is Campagnolo Centaur 11-speed gruppo, NOS bars or Selle Italia saddle.
Classic high performace and advanced steel frame paired with modern functionality of contemporary parts - a recipie for a lot of fun.
