Description
In 1997, for the last time before aluminium took over, Gios equipped the team Kelme with a high-tech steel bike. It was a special version of the legendary compact model, built with tig-welded Dedacciai tubes which were specifically produced for Gios.
It was outfitted with the newest Campagnolo parts, the 1997 Record Titanium 9-speed shifting. You can easily say it was as good as a steel bike could get back then.
And here is one of them. An actual spare bike of the pro team, a Team Kelme Gios Compact, and it has been refurbished by Gios Torino themselves!
The sensational compact geometry, the top notch frame and a fabulous groupset. More than enough to make you want to go out and conquer some Pyrenees passes.
This is one of the most advanced classic steel bikes and certainly a source of pure joy for everyone who is lucky enough to ride it.
Maybe you are the lucky one?
