Description
In the 1970’s, Giorgio Perfetti’s Brooklyn Gum Company sponsored a race team and supplied his riders with Gios Torino bikes, having them painted the same blue as the team jerseys. So just like Ferrari Red and Bianchi Celeste, the vast majority of Gios Torinos from the 1970’s and 80’s are Brooklyn Blue.
But not this one. Manufactured between 1983 and 1986 with Columbus SL or SP tubes, the Gios Torino Professional was a natural evolution of the legendary Super Record model. Different production years saw different colors. Classic blues, anniversary reds, and then, the rarest deep, dark black with chromed forks. The frame of our Professional has been refurbished in this matt black paint scheme.
The Professional is mainly recognisable for its lug design coupled with internally routed and waterproof cables, which were designed and patented by Mr. Aldo Gios. This one has been equipped with nothing less than the top of the line Campagnolo Super Record gruppo with nice Cinelli cockpit and Nisi rims.
Thoroughly checked in our workshop, it is ready to ride.
