Description
The Gios name is one of the great pillars in Italian cycling history and culture, and the Gios Torino Super Record is a true monument of its time. Manufactured between 1973 and 1982 in three main different versions, the Gios Torino Super Record is - thanks to great riders like De Vlaeminck, Sercu, de Wolf and others - one of the most winning and most admired racing bicycles of all time.
Built with light and sturdy Columbus SL tubes ever since, the first models were built and ridden by the Brooklyn professional team. Ours is a later variety from the 1980s which became known as the 'silver coin' version. This bike was built with a custom geometry featuring an even shorter top tube than usual - and a complemental long stem.
The sought-after groupset and the great frame make this bike a rare and collectible racer.
Thoroughly checked, it is of course rideable and suitable for L'Eroica or other historic cycling events.
