Description
The Gios name is one of the great pillars in Italian cycling history and culture, and the Gios Torino Super Record is a true monument of its time. Manufactured between 1973 and 1982 in three main different versions, the Gios Torino Super Record is - thanks to great riders like Roger De Vlaeminck - one of the most winning and most admired racing bicycles of all time.
Built with light and sturdy Columbus SL tubes ever since, the first models were built between 1973 and 1977 and ridden by the Brooklyn professional team. Ours is originally an earlier bike from around 77-78. It received a repaint in the 1980s and at this occasion a braze-on for the front derailleur was put in place.
The fantastic details like the cutout under the bottom bracket and the engraved fork crown remain.
Regarding the components, this Gios Torino Super Record is equipped with a Campagnolo Record groupset including a first generation Super Record shifting. A tipical Gios engraved chainring adds some extra flavour to this plate of delicacies.
All parts underwent a check in our workshop which means that the bike is ready to be ridden.
If you are looking for a classic Italian bicycle with racing pedigree, this Gios Torino Super Record is the right choice. Iconic and terrifically elegant!
