Description
Manufactured between 1973 and 1982 in three different versions, the Gios Torino Super Record is - thanks to the great Roger De Vlaeminck - one of the most winning and most dreamed racing bicycles of all times.
Here we present one of the earliest Super Record from the period 1973-1977, easily recognisable from fork crown and bottom bracket shell with the engraved "GT" letters, the stickers (later with a white stripe) and the no-imbus brakes. In those years the Italian brand supplied the famous Brooklyn Team with its frames.
According to a very particular geometry, a weight of 8.9Kg and a different BB-shell - as stated by Mr. Aldo Gios on the Official Gios Torino Registry - this Super Record was very likely built by Tolmino Gios - the founder of the brand for himself.
Being a racing bicycle with pedigree and in order to preserve its authenticity, we decided to keep it as original as it was. Therefore this Gios Torino underwent just a light refurbishment and is equipped with its original parts. A classic frame built with Columbus SL tubes and equipped with a rare Campagnolo Super Record first generation groupset!
Rare and appealing. A true piece of cycling history
