Description
Manufactured between 1973 and 1982 in three different versions, the Gios Torino Super Record is - thanks partly to the great Roger De Vlaeminck - one of the most winning and most admired racing bicycles of all time.
Here we present one of the earlier Super Record models from 1978, easily recognisable from fork crown and bottom bracket shell with the engraved "GT" letters, the down-seat tube stickers with white background (actually the only difference with the previous models from 1973 - 1977 period) and the brakes with long bolt. In those years the Italian brand supplied the famous Brooklyn Team with its frames.
Being a racing bicycle with pedigree, we decided to keep it as original as possible. Therefore this Gios Torino underwent just a light refurbishment and is still equipped with the appropriate pantographed Campagnolo Record parts which originally went onto this bike. Interesting is that the parts are mostly still from 1977 whilst the frame is already a 1978 one. An iconic classic frame built with Columbus SL tubes and equipped with a great groupset, completely checked and ready to go - what more would you wish for?
Rare and appealing. A true piece of cycling history
