Description
Gitane – a name which means 'Gypsy Lady' in French – is a brand which was synonymous with French bicycle racing from the 1960s through the mid-1980s, sponsoring riders such as Jacques Anquetil, Lucien Van Impe, Bernard Hinault (1975–1983), Laurent Fignon, and Greg LeMond
Gitane not only produced high-end professional machines but also reliable and stable amateur racing bikes with a very solid reputation amongst commuters. This particular Gitane Mach 2002 belongs to the better part of those. The steel tubes of this small frame have been joint together with nice lugs, fitted with tecnocycle dropouts and even a race number holder. The great Mavic hubs turn with ease while the reliable and well performing Shimano components make for a rock solid everyday ride.
Great choice for commuting or occasional tour.
