Description
Italo Zilioli Super Record Classic Road Bike 1981.
Italo Zilioli is an Italian former professional cyclist, who raced from 1962 to 1976. This era was a time of immense talent within the pro peloton: Eddy Merckx, Anquetil, Adorni and Gimondi, just to name a few stars.
Even times of such strong competition, Zilioli achieved a number of victories in some prestigious one-day races and won stages in the big tours.
After retiring from competition, Italo Zilioli started producing road bicycles carrying his name.
Our Zilioli is such a machine. It dates back to the 1980s and its frame is made of Columbus SL tubes.
Waht is even more interesting is the fact that the bike is equipped with a rare Galli groupset! Galli was already famous for rims and brakes, when they decided to produce a complete gruppo. Some of their solutions are so excellent that they can easily keep up with Campagnolo's best parts. The headset for example has some of the finest needle bearings you could wish for in the 1980s. Just the best of everything!
This Zilioli shows the typical attention to detail of the best classic bicycles with its beautifully executed frame and its great parts
A classic racing bicycle with no compromises!
