Description
This is a great Koga Miyata Fullpro from the year 1980, a real sports-machine. This Fullpro is the legendary model that gained the Koga team the UCI team worldcup in 1981. It won several stages in the Tour de France, including the famous ride of Peter Winnen up to Alpe d'Huez.
The frame was built by Miyata's best frame builders from one of the best tubing of its time, the Tange Champion. To ensure a perfectly made frame, every master builder had two complete days to build one Fullpro frameset! The result is stunning. So proud was Koga Miyata of their work, they granted a life long guarantee on the frames.
On top of the perfection there is beauty. Nicely cut out lugs and pantographs make the Fullpro a feast for your eyes.
The bike has a special geometry which makes it likely that it was a rare custom build. Usually Fullpro frames adapt to Shimanos AX Dyna Drive Cranks. On these cranks your feet rest about 1.5cm lower than on usual ones which makes smaller frames and a lower mass centre possible.
Our bike however has a rather long seat tube, compared to the top tube.
The bike is equipped with Shimano Dura Ace parts, just like the professional riders used them. The AX-Crankset is equipped with a set of adapters which make the use of normal Pedals possible.
The bike is perfectly fit for any vintage cycling event as well as excessive weekend rides.
