Description

The Koga Miyata FullPro-S from 1994 is a really exceptional bike. Not that it is something necessary to mention since the FullPro line was the absolute top line of Koga Miyata and gave forth to awe-insipring masterpieces galore.
But the 1994 FullPro-S is special in a different way. In 1994 two out of three models in the FullPro line were already carbon fibre bikes. The Fullpro-S however was developed from the 1993 FullPro Limited and was in fact the last professional frame Koga built with lugged steel tubes.
Its combination of light, strong and specifically formed Columbus MAX tubes and microfusion lugs, performed so extremely well that this model was built for three years in a row (even four years when the similar 1993 model is taken in account). In the highly competitive and ever changing bike market of the 1990s, this is an eternity! And in the end it was only superseded by an ever so similar TIG-welded version. If formed by some of the best craftsmen in the world, steel could still be very real in the mid 1990s.
A frame like this cannot be outfitted with anything than the best. So to no surprise you can find a Shimano Dura Ace groupset on it. And as if the comfort of this frame was not legendary enough, it is outfitted with a rare top-notch suspension seat post by Koga. Rather stiff but it provides the little extra cushioning on cobblestone.
This bike is the perfect companion for long weekend rides or an intense sunny afternoon cycling spree.
