Description

This Koga Miyata Gentsracer dates back to 1981 and is a superb racing machine. The frame was built by Miyata, a company which has been in the bicycle business since 1890 and employed some of the best frame builders.
But not only the employees were special at Miyata. A hallmark of all their bikes was the tubing of tremendous quality. The result is stunning. So proud was Koga Miyata of their work, that they soon granted a life long guarantee on the frames.

This particular bike is made with Hi Manga double butted steel tubing and is fully fitted with a Shimano 600 groupset. The geometry of the frame has been adapted to the special Shimano 600ax crankset and thus comes with slightly lower seat tube which fits like a standard 56cm frame.
This bike arrived at Steel Vintage Bikes in almost original condition – it is just as it was displayed in the 1981 catalogue – the bike underwent a complete check in our workshop and thus is ready to be ridden!

Suitable for Eroica events. Elegant.
