Description

In the mid 1980s the development of Randonneurs and touring bikes hit a peak in quality that was unsurpassed for the next decades. Especially one brand stuck out: Koga Miyata. The reliability and rideability of their bikes is unquestioned.
So here we present you one of these excellent pieces. It is nothing less than an absolute Champion among Randonneurs. It is the 1986 Randonneur Extra - in almost original condition!
Everything on this bike is well considered. The frame is made from triple-butted Hardlite FM1 tubes. The wheelbase is long enough to cushion roadshocks but short enough to provide a good handling. It also can take up to three bottle holders.
The parts are the best touring parts you could get at that time, including Shimano Deore XT.
Brooks leather handlebar tape is wrapped around the special travelling bike bar and a matching Brooks B17 is put on the bike, just waiting for you to brake it in.
The whole bike is now running on legendary reliable Schwalbe Marathon tires.
Are you going on an adventure?
