Description
In 1979 former opera singer, restaurateur and cycling enthusiast Konrad Kotter started his own bicycle brand.
In the early 1980s the brand was boosted by a sponsored Pro- team: the German Kondor-Kotter Cycling Team, later Albuch Kotter's Cycling Team.
Among the riders were some pretty talented sportsmen like Dietrich 'Didi' Thurau or Hans Peter Jakst.
Before they were building their own bikes under the name Albuch Kotter, they imported frames from Italian expert producers Romani and Pistrada. These were then built up into complete bikes in Germany under the brand name Kondor.
Our Kondor San Remo from 1980 is based on a frame, made of Columbus tubing.
This frameset is fully equipped with reliable parts. Especially the Suntour derailleurs are a pure joy to use. Suntour is widely acknowledged to have made the best shiftings at that time, due to their slant-parallelogram design.
The bike has been fully checked by our mechanic, thus it is ready to ride. Cables, chain, saddle, bar tape and tires are new. Everything you need for everyday or weekend rides!
