Description
Champions as Binda, Bartali and Coppi rode to their victories on Legnano bicycles. Fifteen Giro d'Italia, seven world championships and two Tour de France were achieved by Legnano riders.
That is enough to enumerate Legnano amongst the most winning and prestigious brands of all times.
Founded in Milano, Legnano started manufacturing high-end racing bicycles around the 1920s under the lead of Emilio Bozzi – by the time also owner of Frejus, subsequently kidnapped and murdered by the Brigate Rosse in the 1970s. The brand was then sold to Bianchi before being acquired again by the Bozzi family.
Legnano racing bicycles are easily recognisable for their typical green paintwork which has become an icon of classic cycling amongst collectors around the globe ever since. This Legnano Olimpiade Record Specialissima impeccably shows the panache of this Italian brand. Released in the early 1970s, the Olimpiade Record Specialissima was manufactured of light and sturdy Reynolds 531 tubes and painted in the typical Legnano green.
This bicycle arrived at Steel Vintage Bikes in original condition and is equipped with top-class Campagnolo Nuovo Record parts, the best one could get back in the early 1970s.
Completely checked and adjusted, the bicycle is ready to be ridden. Are you looking for the perfect bike to ride the next Eroica adventure? This Legnano will make your experience as memorable as possible!
