Legnano Olimpiade Record Specialissima 1979

Legnano bicycles have had an important part in cycling's history. One of the oldest Italian bicycle brands, the company started in 1902 in Milano. Since, Legnano bikes have proved their pedigree with fifteen Giro d'Italia, two Tour de France and two world hour records with riders including Fausto Coppi and Gino Bartali.

This refurbished 1979 Legnano Olimpiade Record Specialissima is made with Reynold 531 Extra Light tubing, the super strong and super light wonder steel that has won more Tour de Frances than any other. The repaint was done professionally and gives the bike the quality and classic appearance of its past, a full rich blue which is one of two colours that dominate the Legnano palette, the other of course, the recognizable metallic green.
The Olimpiade Record Specialissima was the brands top model at the end of the 1970s, and this classic frame has been fitted with Campagnolo Record parts in top condition to match, including near perfect condition Super Record brake levers. Featuring a 3ttt cockpit and saddle, Nisi tubular rims and Campagnolo Record Hubs, our Olimpiade is built to go.
