Description

Francesco Marino (also known as "Franco") was a relatively unheard of frame-builder from Treviglio, Itay. For 40 years, he mastered his skills whilst working with some of the biggest Italian manufacturers, occasionally making his own branded frames in his spare time.
This unique Pista bike is a symbol of Franco's excellent skill as a frame-builder. Using Columbus SL tubing, Franco constructed this frame with one thing in mind - speed. Tyre clearances are extremely tight to create responsive handling and extra stiffness; you can hardly fit the width of a credit card between the front tyre and forks.
The paintwork is a stunning copper, cromovelato finish, whilst the wheels and chainset are of the highest quality - Campagnolo Record.
This bicycle in particular was probably a one-off build for a local professional, and examples of Franco Marino's personal work are rare. This copper jewel would be worthy of any collection.
