Description

Do you remember the epic 1952 Tour de France picture of Coppi and Bartali passing a water bottle? If you look closer you also see a man popping out from a convertible team car behind them. That is exactly Umberto Marnati, mechanic of Fausto Coppi in the 1950s, later frame builder at Legnano and Bianchi Reparto Corse.

Having learnt lacing wheels and welding very young, Umberto Marnati decided to start manufacturing bicycles under his nem. And as it happend, he opened his own atelier in Milan - led by his son Daniele from the 1970s onward - a city with a tradition of excellent frame builders. And Mr. Marnati was no exception. Via Delfico no. 26 soon became a meeting point of enthusiasts who were keen to ride artisan racing frames which were largely renowned for unique attention to details.

This Marnati Record perfectly shows how accurate and meticulous Marnati frames are. Made of Columbus SL tubing, this bicycle is a true heap of refined details which are worth being mentioned. Just as the fine cut-outs on the lugs representing Marnati's emblem and the countless precisely drilled parts, basically the complete groupset!

On the technical side, this Marnati Record is equipped with an original Campagnolo Nuovo Record groupset, Fiamme rims and Cinelli stems and bars. Simply high-end components!

If you are looking for a truly hand-crafted vintage racing bike, do not miss the chance to make this Marnati Record yours! Suitable for Eroica events.
