Description

Certainly one of the most typical classic brand you will find in many serious collections: a Masi from Milano is a true masterpiece with fine details and precise making. Most road bike enthusiasts have heard of their famous models: the Gran Criterium, the Prestige or the 3V Volumetrica. The latter two have been the main models during the 1980s. The bike we present here is neither of those two. Yet it shows some of the design elements which could be found on both bikes.

Produced in the 1980s, this exemplar looks like a slightly modernized variation of the Prestige. It has the distinctive Masi seat stay caps and a simple, classic fork. The cutouts and engravings on the lugs, however, remind more of the 3V with their fresh design.

The frameset is most likely made of Columbus SL tubing (Masi has never disclosed which tubes he actually used to manufacture his frames).

The condition of our Masi is very good. It obviously has not been ridden very much!

This suberb bicycle is equipped with Campagnolo Super Record parts, Mavic tubular rims and a pantographed Masi seatpost.
