Description
In the early 1980s Alberto Masi had a great idea. The idea to combine an extremely advanced oversized steel tubing with even more advanced internal lugs, hidden in the frame. After several experiments, in 1984, Masi Milano presented the first Masi 3V Volumetrica to the world.
His invention was an inspiration and starting shot for oversized tube frames all over the world. To this day the subtle and elegant construction does not seize to amaze the beholder.
However this frameset is even more special in that it skipped the lugs completely and instead sports smooth fillet brazed connections. You will have a hart time finding even a handful of similar framesets. Fillet brazing is taking considerably more time and thus would be more expensive.
We have decided to built this rare Masi with modern Campagnolo Centaur 11-speed groupset and other brand new parts for a perfect blend of top level classic steel frame and contemporary performance.
