Description
The Eddy Merckx Professional was undoubtedly the top model of the early Eddy Merckx range, and this classic 1980s bicycle complete with Campagnolo Super Record components is a prime example of a 'the bike that lives up to its name'.
When Eddy Merckx left professional cycling to work with the legendary Ugo de Rosa to build his early frames, his aim was to build the best road bicycles possible. Their combined, intimate knowledge of racing, frames and steel resulted in a superb range of Bicycles that retained their prestige, value and beauty over time.
Here we see an example of that Merckx quality!
The original paintwork is a pearly champagne hue.
The frame itself is a large one for which strong and light Columbus SP tubes have been used. It is complemented by a Campagnolo Super Record groupset in perfect working condition.
Finished off with details including long crank arms, and a long 3ttt stem, this is a bike for vintage bike friends who are looking for something to fit their size.
