Description
Mondonico classic road bicycle from the 1980s. Giuseppe Mondonico was a skilled Italian frame builder from Concorezzo, a small town close to Milan. Together with his brother, he started producing in 1929 handmade steel frames using mostly Columbus and Falck tubes. After the founder's death in 1973, Antonio Mondonico run the family enterprise for roughly 25 years and built several frames for third companies - among which Gianni Motta and Colnago - and for many champions, as Claudio Chiappucci.
This Mondonico is a true beauty from the 1980s, which has been professionally and carefully refurbished and repainted in Berlin. The frame is made of Columbus SL tubes jointed into very refined engraved lugs.
Regarding the components, this Mondonico is equipped with a complete Campagnolo Super Record grouspet and with Nisi Countach tubular rims.
An unconventional brand for true collectors! Ready for L'Eroica!
