Description

Since 1958, the bike shop Morello in Padova has offered a bespoke and custom bicycle service.
Many successful riders started their career on a Morello bike. Silvio Martinello for example went on to be a world champion and olympic champion. Luigina Bissoli became a multiple Italian champion and set some new world records. These are just examples to show that Morello bikes have been designed for ambitious athletes.

One of their beautiful models in the 1970s was the Morel Special. An what we present here is just one of those machines from 1975.
The frame is an artisan masterpiece, constructed using Columbus SL tubing and - partly chromed - cut out lugs. The paint on it is a beautiful 'Molteni' orange which is in a nice condition as are the original decals.

As for the parts, the bike is equipped with a top class Campagnolo Record groupset, including a pair of early Campagnolo Strada pedals.
Seatpost, fork crown, bottom bracket shell and chainring are pantographed.

The whole bike radiates a discreet charme which is hard to resist.
A great vintage racer with a strong personality.
