Description
The frame of our bike was made by nobody less than Giovanni - "Vanni" - Losa.
This frame builder lived in Vittuone - a small city close to Milan and thus a bit away from the bicycle shop of Mosconi in Padua, who branded this Losa frame. Vanni manufactured exquisite bicycles, probably most famously the Cinelli Supercorsa from the 1990s to 2008.
Like other frames built by Losa, this Mosconi Competition road bicycle shows typical details known from Losa frames like the little teardrop shaped and the "V" shaped cut outs. Apart from that, it has some aces up its sleeve.
First is the fork with Columbus Air blades and the aero shaped seat stays.
The second one are undisputably the components. In the 1980s Campagnolo continued to rule the hierarchy of the road parts manufacturers. Despite that, some did dare to challange the flag ship from Vicenza. One of them was Galli and their effort was admirable. The Galli KL Aerodynamic was a great groupset which looked great, worked well was very nicely made. It was also not limited to shifting and drivetrain parts like some others. It offered almost complete package. And thet is basically what you can find on this bike.
Other parts like the FIR Quasar rims, aero 3ttt seatpost, Iscaselle seat and 3ttt Aero bars covered in stitched leather then complete the bike. The last cherry on that all is the OMAS lightweight tuning bottom bracket.
The bike has been checked and tested and is ready to take you to your next adventure!
