Description
From the factory to the starting line and vice-versa. This what has always distinguished the brand established by legendary Francesco Moser in the 1970s. The know-how learnt in professional racing helped the former Italian cyclist and his brothers to produce some of the finest racing bicycles of their time.
The Leader AX is a very strong, top class racing bicycle. The fully fillet brazed frame is made of exquisite double butted oversized and elliptical Oria KK tubes. The fillet silver brazed joints form a significantly stiffer frame than TIG welds or lugs, yet they still sustain that subtle dampening which you would expect from a steel frame. Its classic geometry, typical paint scheme and off course the prolonged seat tube which requires a special internally clamped seat post makes it quite recognizable on the road. And that is also the place, where this bicycle really belongs - on the road.
The great characteristics of the Leader AX were partly responsible for the success Gianni Bugno had while riding it in 1990 and 1991. In these years, the frame helped him to secure the Giro d'Italia, the Italian Championships and the World Championships.
One of the best Steel frames ever made is in our case completed with perhaps most iconic groupset - nothing less than Campagnolo C-Record jewelry including the Delta brakes.
Thoroughly checked and ready to be ridden!
