Description
Established in 1923 Motobécane was one of the most famous French manufacturers of bicycles, mopeds, motorcycles, and other small vehicles. "Motobécane" is a compound of "moto", slang for motorcycle; "bécane" is slang for "bike."
They became more known to an international public by their sponsoring of professional teams and winning the Tour de France with their typical orange machines.
This sturdy and reliable Motobecane Mirage Sport dates back to 1982 and is in great original condition. Thoroughly checked by our mechanics, the bike is fitted with quality French parts.
The frame comes with an elegant quick adjust seat post binder which Motobécane called Accu-Height. Other distinctive features are the semi-vertical dropouts for quick rear wheel removal and smooth internally soldered connections between the tubes, which leaves the outside of the frame virtually seamless.
Either to take part in Eroica events, to hit the daily bike path or to cycle to the next café, this Motobecane is a reliable choice. Without renouncing a vintage style!
