NOS Torto Nuovo Record Classic Road Bike

Torto bicycles were a very small brand from Alba (Langhe region - Cuneo, Italy), whose frames were skillfully hand-built by Sancineto (Turin, Italy) before being branded with Torto paintwork and, in this case, fine pantographs. Not much is known about Torto or Sancineto, other than the latter were founded in 1919 by Pietro Sancineto and built high-end, custom racing bicycles for teams around Italy and Northern Europe. However, the rarity and mystique of both brands only adds to the desirability of their creations.
This Torto Super Prestige illustrates the racing prowess and manufacturing skills that were passed on from Sancineto, featuring excellent pantographs on the stem, seat-stays and fork crown. The frame has been built up with Columbus SL tubing and finished with a Campagnolo Nuovo Record groupset, both of which are in impeccable, NOS condition. A combination which allows you to tackle all the impervious Eroica routes without renouncing quality, reliability and style.
For collectors of rare and unusual Italian steel, a quality example like this is an ‘heroic’ jewel. Suitable for all Eroica events.
