Description
Olmo 50th Anniversary classic bicycle from 1989.
In 1939, four years after setting the World Hour Record, Giuseppe Olmo, nicknamed "Gepin", retired from a successful cycling career. Straight afterwards he set up a bicycle manufacture in Celle Ligure together with his brothers Franco, Giovanni and Michele. The traditional company is still in production today. During the years many excellent bikes have left Celle Ligure to win races all over the world.
50 years after it was founded, the famous Italian company wanted to celebrate its 50th anniversary in style. So they released this masterpiece: The Olmo 50th anniversary road bike in a limited edition of just 500 pieces.
Our exemplar is the 27th, fully equipped with Campagnolo parts. Olmo manufactured the frame from the best possible material and their most skilled frame builders to complete the task.
The tubes are made of famous Columbus Nivacrome steel and shows some nice smooth fillet brazing and bi-laminated lugs.
Then there are the sparkling red metallic paint, chromed front fork and chain stay, 50th anniversary medals on the seat tube and a numbering badge on the head tube.
This bike is proud example of Italian craftsmanship. The bike has been fully checked by our mechanics and is ready to go. As usual: we ship fast & safe worldwide.
