Description
In 1939, four years after setting the World Hour Record, Giuseppe Olmo, nicknamed "Gepin", retired from a successful cycling career. Straight afterwards he set up a bicycle manufacture in Celle Ligure together with his brothers Franco, Giovanni and Michele. The traditional company is still in production today. During the years many excellent bikes have left Celle Ligure to win races all over the world.
The Olmo frame was usually built with Columbus tubes of differing diameter and butting. Our Olmo from the 1970s is built with heavy gauge tubes, which make the frame suitable for even the roughest of conditions.
This is also the reason why it is now equipped with brand new wheels, 28mm wide tires and a triple crankset. It is now perfectly suited to be ridden up steep hills and over gravel roads. The backroads of your area will no longer be unexplored by road bikes! Also, of course, the classic setup makes this steel bike suitable for an adventure on the roads of L'Eroica.
This bike has been thoroughly checked, all bearings greased and it is ready to go!
