Description
In 1939, four years after setting the World Hour Record, Giuseppe Olmo, nicknamed "Gepin", retired from a successful cycling career. Straight afterwards he set up a bicycle manufacture in Celle Ligure together with his brothers Franco, Giovanni and Michele. The traditional company is still in production today. During the years many excellent bikes have left Celle Ligure to win races all over the world.
The Olmo Competition formed the core of the road bike series. Built with light Columbus SL tubes in different versions during the late 1970 and early 1980s.
Our Olmo competition dates back to the late 1970s and is equipped with Campagnolo Nuovo Record parts and fantastic Universal Mod.77 brakes.
The bike has been fully checked in our workshop and is ready to ride. Cables, tires, chain, bar tape have been replaced in order to make this Olmo the perfect bike to tackle any event even on the most impervious gravel.
Approved for Eroica events worldwide. An elegant vintage bike for true gentlemen.
