Description

In 1939, four years after setting the World Hour Record, Giuseppe Olmo, nicknamed "Gepin", retired from a successful cycling career. Straight afterwards he set up a bicycle manufacture in Celle Ligure together with his brothers Franco, Giovanni and Michele. The traditional company is still in production today. During the years many excellent bikes have left Celle Ligure to win races all over the world.

The Olmo Competition formed the core of the road bike series. It was built with light Columbus SL tubes in different versions during the late 1970 and early 1980s.
The Olmo competition SR - SR stands for "Super Record", which referred to the groupset – was the top model of the Competition line.

Our Olmo competition SR proudly sports the golden colour of champions, and is embellished by fine pantographs.

The bike has been fully checked in our workshop and is ready to be ridden. Cables, tires, chain, bar tape and saddle have been replaced in order to make this Olmo the perfect bike to tackle even the most impervious roads. The 28t freewheel will help as well.

Approved for Eroica events worldwide. An elegant machine for vintage bike lovers.
