Description

In 1939, four years after setting the World Hour Record, Giuseppe Olmo, nicknamed "Gepin", retired from a successful cycling career. Straight afterwards, he set up a bicycle manufacture in Celle Ligure together with his brothers Franco, Giovanni and Michele. The traditional company is still in production today. During the years many excellent bikes have left Celle Ligure to win races all over the world.

The Olmo Competition formed the core of the road bike series. Built with light Columbus SL tubes in different versions during the late 1970 and early 1980s, the Olmo Competition was the top model of the product line.

In our case this shiny bike has been equipped with Campagnolo Nuovo Record parts which has been customized with some fine drilling and milling and of course other top components like the Olmo pantographed 3ttt stem, rare Concor Specialissima saddle or indeed the brand new handmade tyres.

The cherry on the top is the full chroming which the Columbus tubing underwent. A solution which not only makes this bike even more captivating but also less prone to scratches or rust.

A real headturner just perfect for a nice sunny day ride in classic style.
