Description
Corrado Paratella was an Italian frame builder from Turin, who manufactured stunning steel frames from the late 1940s until the late 1980s. As we have been told by our friends from Turin, his workshop was a meeting point for many cyclists, who were keen to see first-hand the newest works of this very creative frame builder.
Despite his name being unknown to most of the people outside of Turin, Paratella bicycles are renowned and sought after by collectors. Even more so since he usually just produced 15, maximal 25 frames per year!
Therefore each Paratella bicycle is a true piece of art, both for the small amount of exemplars and the typical attention to details of a small artisan manufacturing.
Just as our Paratella, which, according to the engraved numbers on the seat lug, is the thirteenth frame produced in 1984. The frameset - with original paintwork and decals - is made of Reynolds 531 tubes and is a heap of refined details, as the fork crown, the head lugs and the chain support.
A complete Campagnolo Record groupset turnss this Paratella into a true classic bicycle with no compromise! The right choice for everyone who is looking for a rare and artisan classic bicycle.
